Press Release - Clarification on Visa service fee28-06-2012 The High Commission has seen the report in the Makkal Osai on the 27th June 2012 claiming that the High Commission of India to Malaysia has enhanced the visa and service charges for applicants who wish to travel to India.The High Commission wishes to state that this report is factually inaccurate. The High Commission wishes to clarify that there is no change in the visa fees levied by the High Commission for all categories of visa. The High Commission wishes to state that the service charges levied by the India Visa Centre managed by M/s IVS Global since 18.6.2012, is RM 1.56 only per application. There is no other mandatory fee or service charge levied by the India Visa Centre. The High Commission also wishes to state that the service fee charged by the previous outsourcing agency was RM 8.00 and that the current service fee is a significant reduction. The High Commission wishes to draw the attention of your readers to the fact that the outsourcing agency has been permitted to offer other value added services for the convenience and facilitation of the visa applicants. These services are optional and may be availed for an additional cost. The specific value added services and the fees / charges for each of the services are clearly displayed on the website of the India Visa Centre (www.indiavisa.com.my) and on the premises of the India Visa Centre at , , , Malaysia.
