India Development Foundation of Overseas Indians (IDF-OI)

India Development Foundation of Overseas Indians (IDF-OI) is a not-for-profit Trust set up in 2008 by the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs to enable philanthropy/contributions from NRI/PIOs to social and development projects in India. IDF-OI is chaired by Hon’ble Minister of External Affairs and Overseas Indian Affairs Smt. Sushma Swaraj. The organization is based in New Delhi.

IDF-OI has recently created a Facebook page to connect with overseas Indians through

High Commission of India, Kuala Lumpur invites the overseas Indians to connect with IDF-OI.

To create awareness about projects available for funding and promote contributions by overseas Indians, IDF-OI is organizing a series of ‘Google Hangout’ Sessions. The first session is on 5th October 2016 at 17.00hrs IST. Through this session, we will inform about how IDF-OI works, project reporting mechanism, and how they can support social and development projects through IDF-OI.
