Press Release 1. We have seen news reports of the incident relating to derogatory portrayal of Hindus and Sikhs in India during a presentation at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). 2. We are concerned at negative and incorrect picture being conveyed about Hinduism and Sikhism. Hinduism and Sikhism are two great religions which India has given birth to. 3. We note that the Hon’ble Minister of Health of Malaysia, the Hon’ble Deputy Minister of Education of Malaysia and others have condemned this incident. We also note the “utmost regret and deep remorse” conveyed by the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia on this incident and their assurance that such incident will not recur. 15th June, 2016 |
