Pravasi Bharatiya Divas -2015 

13th edition of the PravasiBharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention, organized by the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA), Government of India, will be held on   7-9 January 2015 at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

2.PBD Conventions are being held every year since 2003.  These Conventions provide a platform to the overseas Indian community to engage with the Government and people of the land of their ancestors for mutually beneficial activities.  These Conventions are also very useful in networking among the overseas Indian community residing in various parts of the world and enable them to show their experiences in various fields.

3.This edition of PBD 2015 would be a significant event as it would mark the hundredth anniversary of the return of the greatest “Pravasi” of all, Mahatma Gandhi, from South Africa in 1915. Further, it will also be held in Gujarat, where Mahatma Gandhi was born.We are confident that PBD Convention 2015 would provide a unique platform to interact with other Persons of Indian origin worldwide as well as with the Government of India and the Governments of the various States of India.

We look forward to enthusiastic participation from Malaysian Indian community at this important annual event in India which honours their work and contributions of Overseas Indian Community.
